Throughout history there are countless examples of women who have made decisive advances in science and technology. Visualizing them and spreading their example, mainly among the youngest, is the objective of this program.
The new technologies and digital manufacturing are being a true revolution in terms of the forms of creation, education and the skills that we will need in the future. The activities created through STEAM education and around digital manufacturing conquer the participants, manufacturing unique and personalized objects while we start in a different use of new technologies.
Mujeres Makers is a free program with activities organized throughout the year. It includes workshops, courses and different events with the aim of promoting the development of scientific and technological vocations among the girls and women of Castilla-La Mancha. This program has been possible thanks to the professional team of FabLab Cuenca and has the support and funding from the US Embassy, and in some editions, the Women's Institute of Castilla-La Mancha and the Red Cross.
